I’m excited about the upcoming full season drive.

MT. KISCO, N.Y. – I’ve just signed for my first full season in sportscar racing with the Random Vandals squad in a BMW M4 GT4. I will be partnered in this ride with bronze-rated driver Sam Craven, the same driver with whom I finished the final two SRO events in 2024, earning ourselves two top-five finishes, a hard charger award, and nearly a win in our final race at Indianapolis. Safe to say we go into this year with some confidence and the utmost belief that we have the car and the drivers to go and win the Pro-AM championship. Let’s take a step back and talk about how we got here.

In August of ’24, long-time friend and fellow Monticello coach Peter Bank reached out about potentially doing a test with the team he’s engineering for. I contacted the team owner, Paul Sparta of Random Vandals Racing, and conversations began. At this point in the season, RVR was running two GT4 cars, one in Silver and one in AM, and leading championships in both. Paul invited me to Virginia International Raceway for a test, where I would be evaluated against their long-time pro (and one of the best silvers on the market), Kenton Koch.

Fast forwarding a bit, my first opportunity came in sharing the car with team owner Paul Sparta, with the goal of me being on track at the same time as Kenton to truly evaluate us equally. I had never driven an M4 GT4; in fact, I hadn’t driven VIR in over five years. I worked to get up to speed as usual before running out of fuel in just three laps – not ideal. The problem was found and solved, and in the final practice session, I did finally get some competitive running. The pressure was on; it was my first real “driver evaluation”. I knew these six laps of fuel would determine if I had a future with this program, and I knew a ride was on the horizon. In those six laps, I just about matched Kenton, falling a few tenths short. I was proud of my efforts and knew wholeheartedly that if given a full day in the car, I would be able to match Kenton’s efforts. That aside, the engineers were fairly impressed with my performance, and Paul asked me to stay the weekend and spot for the #98 car for the two races to come.

About a week after getting home, I got the call from Paul asking me to race at Barber with Sam. Talk about a dream come true. For a season with more ups and downs than anyone could ask for, this opened up a world of opportunity for me. After one session at Barber, I had matched Kenton, and we were working together to improve. It was and continues to be a privilege to work with someone as talented as him. Aside from the pace, the results weren’t great, but that was primarily due to factors beyond our control

After Barber, I got the call up again from Paul, inviting me to come race in Indianapolis to finish the season out. Plans were made for me to help tow Kenton in quali, and our pace was close enough that we made it happen. In race 1, we started from the back and gained the hard charger award for coming from 19th to finish fifth in class. In race 2, I started us from P7 and 3rd in class. I drove the #94 car through the field to the overall lead and handed it to Sam with a healthy 1+ second margin to the nearest car. He drove flawlessly, hanging onto the lead until a fuel issue, unfortunately, landed us with a DNF.

And that brings us here, in partnership with long-time sponsor and supporter Zimperium, preparing to start a full season assault on the SRO GT4 America Pro-Am championship.

None of this would be possible without your support throughout my career, and I cannot thank each of you enough for your continued belief in me. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. If you’d like to attend an event this 2025 season, let me know, and we’ll arrange it.

See you soon,
Josh Green
